UAB Roll Session
The UAB Roll Sessions are scheduled for the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of January, February and March from 7:30PM until 9:30PM. The cost is $10.00 per session and your 4th session is free.
The roll sessions are held at the UAB Recreation Center located at 1501 University Boulevard (8th Avenue South), Birmingham, AL 35294. You can easily unload your boat and gear at the west end of 9th Avenue South behind the Recreation Center and park in Lot 15T/7 located in the 900 block of 16th Street. Enter the pool on the west side of the Recreation Center.

Mulberry Fork Canoe & Kayak Race
The Alabama Cup Racing Series is made up by the Locust Fork Invitational, Mulberry Fork Canoe and Kayak Races and Locust Fork Whitewater Classic races. Courses consist of about 25 gates, set on a class Il/lll rapids approximately one hundred yards long. Race courses are spectator friendly with walking trails right beside the courses.

Rivers on Tennessee’s Cumberland Plateau such as the Emory/Obed system. Class II to Class IV. Rivers to be determined based on water conditions.

Paddling 101
Basic beginning class for canoe and kayak. Learn about different boat types, strokes, safety and proper gear. No experience necessary. Boats and equipment will be provided, but please bring your own if you have them.

TRSA Rendezvous
The TRSA Rendezvous, 4 days of paddling on the Cumberland Plateau, with the Tennessee Scenic River Association. This is a non-BCC event, but there will be BCC members participating. Rivers range from Class II to Class IV, on the Emory/Obed system.

Float the Lazy River
Beginning canoe/kayak class, on a moving, non-whitewater river. Learn boat control, strokes, maneuvers, safety while enjoying a day-long paddle on a local river. River will be determined based on water levels and conditions near the date of the course. Suitable for beginners. Having your own boat and gear is preferred, but we can provide some rentals.
